well, what was meant to be an ordinary day out with a friend turned a bit weird at the end lol!
I ended up cycling in the glorious sunshine from the Medway Towns down to Dover. Left at 9:30 and finished at 4:45
However I got home and realised i needed to phone so went to look for it and couldn't find it
first i tried ringing it from the home phone and got no answer and i realised i must have left it on a train somewhere.
Got quite frustrated and rung the phone and it kept being diverted so someone must have picked it up, and then it went straight through to answerphone so whoever had it had turned off the phone. I cycled to the station and chatted to the signalman there while waiting for the train i was on to come back through the station. When it arrived the mobile phone wasn't there and i knew it was properly lost.
I cycled home and when i was home i phoned southeastern who said they'd need the imei number from the phone to report it to the lost property office. I phoned up my phone company who after a little while gave me my imei number and i phoned southeastern and filled in the details and they said it would take 7 to 10 working days (so up to 2 weeks) to return my phone!!! And i needed it for this sunday for organisation.
Next day i went in to buy a new cheap phone and had just bought the £10 phone when my mum came up saying she'd just recieved a call from my mobile i'd lost on her phone. She went on to say that it was Chief Sergeant Detective J Robinson.
He had called to say that they'd picked my phone off a man they'd just arrested for assault and grievious bodily harm and was checking i hadn't been attacked. This man had been trailing around Kent on trains picking up items and selling them on etc and other criminal acts and had been followed by police for about 2 months before they finally caught him on the night i lost my phone and found my phone with it, and the detective had phoned my mum saying we could pick it up. So i am getting my phone back from a criminal tomorrow at the police station
